For the second year in a row, the Auburn University Horticulture Club took home the Outstanding Club Award at the Southern Region of the American Society of Horticultural Sciences’ annual meeting in Louisville, Kentucky.
Six Auburn students attended the conference and participated in competition. Biosystems engineering senior Courtney Eagle placed second in the fruit and nut crops judging competition, and horticulture senior Jeff Margreiter placed second in the greenhouse floral and foliage plant identification competition.
The Horticulture Club at Auburn is advised by horticulture associate professor Jay Spiers, and is open to any student interested in the discipline, regardless of major.
