Read our FAQ’s about Auburn Oak trees below to help answer questions.
When can I pick up my Auburn Oak?
Can you ship my tree?
Shipping is not available. Only larger trees are available for on campus pick-up.
How do I plant my new tree?
We recommend hiring a professional landscape installer, but you can refer to the Alabama Cooperative Extension System’s Guide to Care and Maintenance of Landscape Plants
What is the difference between a clone and a seedling?
A seedling tree is a tree that has been grown from a seed. The mother tree bears the acorns, so it is a known parent, however, pollen from another tree of the same species could pollinate the mother tree, thereby producing a tree of the same species, but with genes from both parents.
A clone is vegetatively-propagated tree, i.e., a small shoot from the original tree has been rooted and the small tree is now genetically identical to the parent tree.
