The Auburn University College of Agriculture recently hosted a graduate student recruiting fair for the first time in recent years.

“The graduate student recruiting fair was organized as part of our effort to advance graduate education in the College of Agriculture,” said Henry Fadamiro, associate dean for research for the College of Agriculture.

Prospective graduate students from across the country attended the recruiting fair. “The success of the program is due to collaborative efforts of the graduate program officers in the various departments who worked together to organize the event,” Fadamiro said.

The event included a tour of various units in the departments of animal sciences and poultry, as well as the Plant Science Research Center.

“The College of Agriculture is thinking about the next generation and actively looking for the best candidates to bring about that new future,” said John Beckmann, assistant professor of entomology, who helped organize the event.

Beckmann said the College is planning to expand the event in 2021.
