2023 College Student Career Program sponsored by the USPOULTRY Foundation and held in conjunction with the International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE)  January 24-26, 2023 in Atlanta, GA at the Georgia World Congress Center.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE?
All college students, regardless of curriculum or class standing, are invited to attend. There is a robust list of companies looking for summer interns at this event. The value of obtaining one (hopefully >1) of these internships prior to graduation cannot be overstated.

To be eligible to interview for full time employment, a student must be a senior or graduate from a 2 or 4-year program at a qualified university between September 1, 2022 and December 31, 2023. Students with majors in poultry and animal science, food science, engineering, industrial technology, veterinary medicine, accounting, business, information technology and other related studies are eligible to participate. Students that want to participate must complete the registration form AND upload their resume (pdf format only) and have it reviewed/approved by Dr. Jessica Starkey no later than November 16 at 5 pm.  Here is the link to upload your registration and resumes. Our Work Film featuring the Alabama Cooperative Extension System taking place on Friday, November 4– Reserve your spot!

The College of Agriculture invites students, faculty, and staff to attend the final Our Work film for the semester on Friday, November 4, at noon in 307 Corley Hall. The film will feature Alabama Cooperative Extension System projects Grow More, Give More, Serve Safe and Cottage Foods. You’ll learn how each of their initiatives serves Alabama communities and offers consumers a safer food product. The film will also feature a recent summer intern with Extension.Following the 30-minute film we’ll have Bethany O’Rear from the Grow More Give More Project and Dani Reams, Serve Safe and Cottage Food Coordinator on hand for a Q&A session. Filming locations include EatSouth in Montgomery, AL, Coosa River Cookie Company in Coosa County, and Central High School in Clay County.
