College of Agriculture Career Fair set for Tuesday, February 21

Whether you are looking for an internship or a full-time job or want to learn more about the industry, students are invited to attend the College of Agriculture Career Fair on Tuesday, February 21, 1-4 pm at the Alumni Center. Career Fairs are great ways to explore the industry and build a network of industry representatives who can help you find   your place within the agricultural industry.

While attending   the Career Fair, students are invited to attend the Handshakes and Headshots event from 1 pm -4 pm in the Goodwin Room at the Auburn University Alumni Center. You’ll get the opportunity to further network with companies and get a FREE professional headshot. Currently, 35 companies are registered to attend the career fair.  Bring your resume, dress in your best attire, and meet with industry professionals.

INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Alabama Farm Credit seeking AU College of Agriculture Summer Interns –apply by Feb. 28. On-campus interviews will take place March 16

Alabama Farm Credit is offering a paid summer internship program for college students. The program will give students the opportunity to experience multiple departments within the association, in order to fully understand the processes from start to finish. AFC interns will have two different opportunity tracks. One will be for students interested in becoming lenders with AFC, while the other is for students more interested in the underwriting portion of the lending position. This is a temporary position and usually lasts 70-120 days. The application deadline for summer internships is February 28th, so be sure to apply today.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Assist the Farm Manager and Agronomist in the execution and management of on farm research, development and demonstration trials.
  • Assist the Agronomist and Farm Manager in the maintenance of field trials including, cultivation, irrigation, in-season product application and harvest.
  • Sample collection, storage and shipment.
  • Miscellaneous data collection and other duties as needed
  • Support, Cotton Breeding, Technical Development Rep, and Dyna-Gro Seed Agronomist and in the preparation and execution of field days and other training events.
  • Ensure that assigned duties are completed safely and according to applicable Standard Operating Procedures.

2023 Wildlife Research Internship – South Africa

Outdoor Education Internship Opportunities with Camp Ascca

Camp Ascca (Alabama Special Camp for Children and Adults) is a camp for people with disabilities allowing them to experience things that they may not get to do in their daily lives. Located on Lake Martin, Camp Ascca allows our campers to participate in outdoor adventure (zip lining/bungee trampoline), aquatic (waterslide, tubing, swimming pool), and outdoor education activities.
