Caleb Bristow, a two-time graduate of the Auburn University Department of Crop, Soil and Environmental Sciences, has been named executive director of the Alabama Peanut Producers Association. Bristow, 26, earned his B.S. in agronomy and soils in 2010 and his M.S. in agronomy and soils in 2012.
“It’s always exciting to see our young alumni like Caleb excel so quickly and successfully in their careers,” said Dr. John Beasley, head of the Department of Crop, Soil and Environmental Sciences. “I’m confident he’s going to be excellent in his role as executive director for APPA. I look forward to seeing the Association and the Alabama peanut industry grow and advance under his leadership.”
Before joining APPA, Bristow was a manager and salesman for Kelly Ag in Headland.
He grew up on his family’s farm in Henry County, near Columbia, growing peanuts and cotton and raising beef cattle.
Bristow and his wife, Freda, live in Headland.
