Ag Ambassadors

The Ag Ambassadors at Auburn University are students committed to representing the College of Agriculture, Auburn University, and the industry of agriculture. They strive to develop the public’s awareness of the College of Agriculture and recruit students to join the Auburn family.
Students interested in becoming an Ag Ambassador must be enrolled in the College of Agriculture, Biosystems Engineering, or Agriscience Education, have been at Auburn University at least one semester before annual spring application, and have a 3.0 recommended, minimum 2.75, Auburn GPA. Applications are usually emailed to students in the spring; however, any interested students can inquire about applications. An interest meeting typically occurs in the Fall semester for students interested in joining.

As part of the selection process, students must submit the Ag Ambassador application, which includes letters of recommendation as well as student background and interest essay. Selected applicants will then present a 3–5-minute presentation on why they chose to attend the College of Agriculture, or why they selected their major. The presentation is followed by a question-and-answer session before a panel of faculty and ambassadors.
If selected, Ag Ambassadors must attend all meetings and represent the College of Agriculture at War Eagle Days, TALONS Days, Ag Roundup, Dean’s Society Tailgates and other related events. For more information contact an Ag Ambassador advisor below:
