Student Research Fellowships

2023 Undergraduate Research Fellowship Application period is now open and will close on Feb 15, 2023.

The College of Agriculture partners with the Office of Undergraduate Research to fund students to conduct their own research. Students work with a faculty advisor to come up with a research project.

Fellowships can begin in the Summer of 2023. Students may apply for year-long, summer, and one or two-semester-long fellowships. Eligible students must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or better and have time to complete the fellowship before graduation. The fellowship application deadline is February 15, 2023.

2023 NPTC Research and Extension Experience for Undergraduates (REEU) Opportunities in Precision Animal Management

The NPTC REEU Scholars Internship was created to help solve production agricultural problems in the state of Alabama while providing high impact experiences in undergraduate research and extension programing. We have multiple research projects in progress and will visit farms for data collection and to address problems. Scholars will assist the team with research projects and be responsible for at least one extension article. Click here for more details and the application.
