Friday, April 8, 2022— Students interested in a career with Costa Farms are encouraged to stop by our tabling event to learn more about the opportunities with their company— for every student that stops by they’ll receive a FREE plant from Costa Farms. Representatives from Costa Farms will be available to speak to you about career opportunties . We’ll also have information on the new Horticulture minor and fun classes you can take in plant and soils. Snacks will be provided so stop by to learn more about Costa Farms. The event will take place near the brick walkway between Funchess Hall and Comer Hall.

Tyson Foods, Inc., Gadsden Facility has an opening for an Operation Associate/ Internship also available out of Snead, AL This position is responsible for learning all aspects of a Production facility by working with the Team Members to learn how to promote a safe working environment and produce a quality product in a timely manner. REQUIREMENTS: Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is preferred. Experience: Experience is not required. Full Time Summer Employment Opportunity in Turfgrass Weed Management and Herbicide Resistant Weed Screening. Greenhouse research primarily consists of screening herbicide resistant plants. Responsibilities include assisting in screening of plants, watering, fertilization, planting, transplanting, seed collection, and maintaining chemical and seed inventories. Field research is primarily industry herbicide screening trials. Responsibilities include using ARM to generate field plans and analysis, establishing research in the field, assist in spraying of trials, picture taking, aerial photography, and entering data and pictures in computer. Crop Consulting Business in North Alabama seeking Crop Scouts for the Summer
They are looking for agriculture students to work in the summer. First year workers are paid $5,000 for the summer. If they want to work the next year they will get a $1,000 raise. Every year after that is an additional $500. They pay biweekly. Students that worked for us in the past have used this as their internship. They would be scouting cotton, corn, and soybeans. They may get a little bit of experience with wheat but it isn’t likely due to the season. They will be walking fields, identifying insects, weeds, and diseases. The Ag Communicators Network is excited to announce that it is accepting applications through April 18th for one marketing internship with Vive Crop Protection for the summer of 2022. Vive Crop Protection is looking for a driven, creative self-starter with an interest in agriculture marketing and communications. A marketing intern will assist with the day-to-day marketing and communication needs of a company on the rise. Vive’s intern will be involved in social media, customer relations, marketing strategy, and much more.
3 Spear Ranch seeking Wrangler and Rand Hands
3 Spear Ranch, a private ranch & resort on 1,500 acres in Wyoming are currently seeking to employ positions as wranglers and as ranch hands to help lead guests on horseback rides, provide care for the ranch animals, and conduct day-to-day ranch duties on property such as irrigation, fence maintenance, and trail maintenance.
