WHAT ARE THE STEPS TO BECOME AN AUBURN AG STUDENT?
Step 1: “Find your path.” Determine your applicant type and review the application requirements
Step 2: Submit your application and supporting documents by the required deadlines
Step 3: After you’ve been accepted, apply for financial aid, scholarships via AUSOM and secure your housing
Step 4: Submit your Enrollment Deposit
Step 5: Attend Camp War Eagle or SOS
Step 6: Start classes and begin your Auburn journey!

Does the College of Ag offer scholarships to freshman and transfer applicants?
Yes! The College of Ag awards over $1 million to its undergraduate students. Students may apply for College of Ag and departmental scholarships through the AUSOM scholarship application.

Does the College of Agriculture offer opportunities for professional development and networking?

What can I do with a College of Agriculture degree?
Whether you’re looking to work an office job or be outside as much as possible, graduates from the College of Ag can work in a variety of career environments. AG ALUMNI MENTORS
- The best form of professional development is through experience. That’s the purpose of the College of Agriculture’s Alumni Mentoring, a 9-month program to give you deep, first-hand experiences within your industry.
- For two semesters, you will be paired with one of our successful alumni, who will provide you with invaluable networking opportunities, job shadowing, hands-on internship experiences, invitations to industry meetings or expositions, and practical career advice. You and your mentor will be paired according to your major, regional job interests, internship interests and overall career goals.

UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP
- The College of Agriculture partners with the Office of Undergraduate Research to fund students to conduct their own research. Students work with a faculty advisor to come up with a research project.
- Students may apply for year-long, summer, and one or two-semester-long fellowships. Eligible students must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or better and have time to complete the fellowship before graduation.

EXPERIENCE AT A LAB OR RESEARCH FACILITY
- Gain research and professional experience through on-campus student employment!
- Professors in the COA do their own research along with teaching classes and utilize our undergraduate students to assist with their research.
- Students can also gain experience by working at one of our research facilities part-time.

AG PEER MENTORS
- Ag Peer Mentors are College of Ag students who hold weekly office hours in which current students can schedule meetings to address academic and career exploration questions.

ADVISORS
- Your College of Ag advisor is a valuable resource for you during your time at Auburn University. In addition to providing you with general advising information, your advisor can help you register for courses, answer frequently asked questions, give academic support, develop a course plan of study for graduation, provide academic policies, and locate and/or prepare for internships, part-time work, and career opportunities.
