Wallace Berry, associate professor in the Department of Poultry Science at Auburn, received the 2015 Novus International Inc. Teaching Award during the Poultry Science Association’s annual meeting in Louisville, Kentucky, in late July.
The association established the award to emphasize that excellence in teaching is basic to the future welfare of the poultry industry and presents it to a member of the organization who has demonstrated outstanding success inside and outside the classroom throughout his or her career.
The award not only honors past contributions to the industry but also encourages continued professional improvement through travel, study and other means.
Berry, who holds a Ph.D. in poultry science from North Carolina State University, joined Auburn’s poultry science faculty in 1998.
