Dairy U event planned for May

Dairy U, an educational, hands-on workshop for youth, will take place Saturday, May 2, 2015, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Stanley P. Wilson Beef Teaching Unit on Auburn’s campus. Sponsored by the Auburn University College of Agriculture, Alabama Cooperative Extension System and Alabama 4-H, Dairy U offers youth the opportunity to learn about the dairy industry, where the milk they drink comes from and how it is produced in a wholesome and healthy way.

During the event, various stations will allow attendees to learn about animal health, herd management and the nutritional benefits of milk.

The registration fee is $10, which includes a meal, snacks, and t-shirt. Additional attendees, such as parent or guardians, will need to purchase a $10 lunch ticket. The registration deadline is April 20. To register, visit https://mell-base.uce.auburn.edu/wconnect/CourseStatus.awp?&course=C150502.
