The College of Agriculture is celebrating National Ag Week March 18-22, 2024. A variety of activities will be held by students throughout the week to bring recognition of the week’s importance to students and faculty across campus.
On Tuesday, March 19, Block and Bridle will be hosting Ag Olympics at the Beef Teaching Unit from 5-6:30pm. Teams will be made up of four College of Agriculture students, and the top three winners will get a prize! The events will include: izzy dizzy, hobby horse racing, an egg toss, the feed carry, apple bobbing, hay tosses, sack races, and the three-legged race. Visit to this link for more information and to register.
The week also entails the Beyond the Farm event hosted by the Ag Council on Wednesday, March 20. All students and staff are welcome to attend the event on the greenspace outside the Student Center from 11am-2pm. Booths from a wide array of organizations within the College of Agriculture will be on display to teach their peers about the different fields of agriculture.
We urge everyone to participate with us throughout the week and learn the importance of agriculture!
