April dairy goat program offers hands-on learning opportunity

2015 DAIRY Goat U flier_Page_1Dairy Goat U, a hands-on, educational event for youth, will take place Saturday, April 11, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Stone Hollow Farmstead in Harpersville, Alabama. Sponsored by the Auburn University College of Agriculture, Alabama Cooperative Extension System and Alabama 4-H, Dairy Goat U offers the opportunity to interact with Dairy goats one-on-one and to learn about various aspects of the dairy goat industry.

 Multiple stations will allow attendees hands-on experience in herd management, goat health, and many of the scientific principles behind milk production, and a parents program will be geared toward adult participants.
