Research
My research focus will be on evaluating cultural and chemical management strategies for managing turfgrass diseases and plant parasitic nematodes that affect turfgrasses in the deep south. My previous research endeavors have focused on understanding population dynamics of ectotrophic root-infecting fungi that affect ultradwarf bermudagrass putting greens as well as understanding more about how lance nematodes illicit damage to creeping bentgrass greens in the transition zone. My ultimate goal is to understand what diseases and nematodes are most problematic to turf managers in the state of Alabama and provide innovative research that will be practical for stakeholders.
