Professional experience. It’s one of the top criteria that set job candidates apart, even for entry-level positions. That’s why we encourage internship experience for every student. The on-the-job experience of an internship will sharpen your skill while deepening your knowledge and insight into your industry. This will be crucial as you begin your job search. But a few stars on your resume and portfolio aren’t the only only benefits of an internship. It’s also an excellent way to earn academic credit toward your degree while, in many cases, also earning a salary.
We host a number of employers in the College of Agriculture each semester to conduct interviews for internships. A few of our students’ most recent internships have included places like Fenway Park, Walt Disney World, the Biltmore Estate and Augusta National Golf Club, just to name a few.
