Office of Global Programs

Office of Global Programs

Our work is in the world around us.

Agriculture is a global field and the world’s largest industry. The mission of our Office of Global Programs is to integrate the global dimension into the teaching, research and outreach programs of the College of Agriculture and collaborate internationally to extend our scientific discoveries, innovations and technologies to impact lives in Alabama and around the world. This office supports international programs within the college, the Alabama Agricultural Experiment Station and the Alabama Cooperative Extension System. Our college has a rich history of international engagement, in particular in the areas of food security, fisheries and aquaculture. We promote an expanded worldview among our students as global citizens. We do this through study abroad opportunities and articulation agreements, faculty and student exchange, technical training and international research and outreach project development. We believe in partnerships and value collaboration.
