Short Bio

Trained at Auburn University in landscape horticulture and ornamental production, Dr. Wilson worked with conifers (Pinaceae: Tsuga & Pinus spp.) for heat tolerance of hemlock species and evaluation of other Pinaceae taxa for pine wilt disease via a cross-disciplinary approach between horticulture, forestry, entomology, and plant pathology. Dr. Wilson comes to us from Arkansas Tech University, where he served as assistant professor of agriculture with a teaching focus on production horticulture, earning the promotion to associate professor with tenure. At Auburn, he serves as a lecturer, instructing undergraduate courses in ornamental horticulture.
