Short Bio

I am a parasitologist specializing in the taxonomy and systematics of aquatic parasites. My research integrates morphology, molecular phylogenetics, and life-history to better understand parasite diversity, evolution, and their roles in aquatic ecosystems. I am also a lead diagnostician for the Southeastern Cooperative Fish Parasite and Disease Laboratory. I help provide expertise to state and federal agencies focused on both conservation and aquaculture in freshwater and marine systems.
