Mr. Raut is a Graduate Research Assistant (Ph.D. student) in the Department of Poultry Science, Auburn University. His research focuses on the use of probiotics and plant-based extracts to reduce Salmonella and Campylobacter colonization in broilers and their effects on gut health, nutrient digestibility, and immune response.

Research

Designing and conducting in vivo poultry feeding trials focused on reducing foodborne pathogens and improving broiler gut health, with emphasis on Salmonella and Campylobacter control and public health protection.

Evaluating dietary strategies (probiotics and plant-based feed additives) to reduce Salmonella and Campylobacter colonization and other foodborne pathogens in poultry production systems.

Investigating gut health, immune response, and microbiota modulation in broilers under different nutritional interventions.

Laboratory analysis of feed and biological samples, including proximate composition and mineral assays.

Supporting data analysis, interpretation, and scientific writing for conference presentations and peer-reviewed journal publications.
