Short Bio

Professor and Extension Veterinarian with the Auburn University College of Agriculture and the Alabama Cooperative Extension System since 2006. Teach undergraduate, graduate, and veterinary students about a variety of topics involving food animal and forage production systems. Conduct research and provide livestock Extension/Outreach support to farmers, ranchers, and veterinarians focusing primarily on beef cattle production systems, with a lesser emphasis on dairy cattle, goats, sheep, horses, and swine.

Research

Investigating the pathophysiology, epidemiology, and management of several bovine pathogens and diseases is a primary research focus, including evaluating the efficacy of various preventive and control procedures for common diseases such as bovine viral diarrhea, trichomoniasis, infectious bovine rhinotracheitis, and bovine respiratory disease.

Extension Experience

The underlying goal of my outreach efforts is to bring agricultural education and innovation to farmers, ranchers, veterinarians, and the general public throughout Alabama and beyond by engaging in activities at the university, on the farm, in the veterinary clinic, or at Alabama Agricultural Experiment Station outlying units.
