Research

Poultry nutrition is a discipline at which the economic and environmental aspects of food animal production intersect with animal performance and health. As such, research in my laboratory generally addresses one of the following objectives:

  1. Defining nutrient and energy needs of modern broilers, with an emphasis on amino acids
  2. Improving strategies to assess and enhance feed ingredient utilization
  3. Determining how nutrient needs and utilization are influenced by stress (e.g., enteric disease, heat stress, etc.)
