Short Bio

Harper joined the College of Agriculture in August 2026 as Academic and Research Programs Manager. He supports the college’s international partnerships and study abroad programs, graduate program operations, and research reporting for the Alabama Agricultural Experiment Station. He also coordinates college events, including the E. T. York Distinguished Lecturer Series. Before coming to Auburn, Harper spent fifteen years at Georgia State University, where he most recently managed academic programs and curriculum for the College of Arts and Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. in English from Georgia State and a B.A. from Yale. He grew up in south Georgia and lives in Opelika.
