Short Bio
Dr. Kim received his Ph.D. in Animal Nutrition at Oklahoma State University, where he performed research focused on evaluating the effects of dietary strategies for reducing the environmental impacts, such as nutrient excretion and greenhouse gas emissions from swine facilities. In addition, he studied swine immunology, protein metabolism, and nutrition at the University of Arkansas as a postdoctoral researcher. Before joining Auburn University in 2020, he served as an R&D consultant working with numerous animal feed companies to design and support numerous industry-scale research and develop new products for swine feed industry. Currently, he serves as a research associate in the Department of Animal Sciences at Auburn University and his research group is interested in improving feed efficiency of beef/cattle, evaluating protein metabolism and pathway of pigs, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions from the enteric fermentation of beef/cattle.
