Short Bio
Gracen Bridges is a Research Associate in the Department of Agricultural Economics and Rural Sociology at Auburn University. She received her B.S. in agricultural business and economics and her M.S. in agricultural economics from Auburn University. Her research interests focus on the social and economic factors that influence agricultural decision-making, farm management, risk, and resilience. Gracen’s current research examines the experiences of farmers and ranchers, with an emphasis on farm stress, risk management, transition planning, and producer decision-making. Her work uses qualitative research methods to explore how agricultural producers navigate challenges related to financial pressures, weather variability, labor constraints, and personal well-being. In addition to her research activities, Gracen contributes to agricultural Extension outreach through publications with Southern Ag Today and works to communicate research findings to agricultural audiences. Her work focuses on understanding the human dimensions of agriculture and supporting resilient farming communities.
