Why this certificate?
In the future, the projected population increase and associated increase in demand for food, water, and energy could result in an increase in global average temperature; consequently, there is a need for professionals who can design and develop efficient and effective systems to convert biological materials to fuels, chemicals and products. The Bioproducts and Bioprocessing Graduate Certificate, offered through the Department of Biosystems Engineering, will allow engineers to advance their knowledge in this area of study, which will impact quality of life in the near future. The program can be completed online or on campus, and is available to both degree-seeking and non-degree-seeking students.
You are eligible to apply if...
- Those who hold a bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent from an institution of recognized standing are eligible (exceptions may be approved if the student has the background needed to succeed in the graduate engineering courses).
- There is no GRE requirement.
