Daniels named acting director of global programs

AUBURN, Ala.—Auburn University associate professor Bill Daniels has been named acting director of global programs for the College of Agriculture, effective June 1, Associate Dean for Research and Associate Director, AAES, Henry Fadamiro has announced.

“Agriculture is a global field and the world’s largest industry, and we are proud to see Dr. Daniels step into this important role to coordinate and lead international education, research and development programs and build upon the accomplishments of the college in the area of global programs,” Fadamiro said. “His global experience spans a variety of research, outreach and instructional activities for Auburn as well as for the U.S. Peace Corp, USAID and the USDA among others. I believe this background positions him exceptionally well to lead our global programs activities as a college, and I look forward to working with him in that capacity.”

Daniels has served at Auburn as an associate professor of aquaculture since 2003. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Alabama and a master’s degree from Texas A&M University. He holds a Ph.D. from Mississippi State University.
