RESEARCH
Kaitlin’s postdoctoral research is focused on studying the growth of convergence among a National Science Foundation-funded Socio-Agroclimatology team comprised of Alabama researchers, community partners, and farmers. In this capacity, she also aims to understand and support historically underserved farmers’ decision-making around the adoption of climate-resilient practices. Kaitlin’s research interests include food system inequities and food justice, especially as they pertain to agricultural labor; agrarian change; and gender and inclusive development. Her international research in northern Ghana sits at the intersection of gender, marriage, and labor in agrarian communities and the role of development interventions in altering household and community dynamics.
