HZAU-Auburn Institute

Huazhong Agricultural University (HZAU) is a leading agricultural university in China. According to China alumni network, its horticulture was ranked No. 1, Crop science, animal science and veterinary medicine were ranked No.2 nationally. HZAU is ranked No.3 among Chinese agricultural and forestry universities.

Auburn University (AU, Auburn, Alabama, USA) is a land, sea and space grant university renowned for its strong programs in veterinary medicine, agriculture and environmental sciences.

Both Huazhong Agricultural University (HZAU) and Auburn University, Alabama, USA (AU) are dedicated to advancing research, education and training programs in areas including agricultural and environmental sciences. The parties desire to establish the Auburn Institute.

The goal of the Institute is to promote collaborations between the two institutions in research, education and training programs. The areas of cooperation will initially include subject to mutual consent and appropriate conditions, agricultural and environmental sciences and future programs may be added that are offered at both universities, seen as desirable, feasible, and contributory to the fostering and development of the cooperative relationship between the Colleges of the two universities. Current areas of cooperation include Summer Teaching at HZAU, Summer academic tour at AU, Joint PhD/Scholar program and Joint Research.
