Comer Hall

During the fall, the College of Agriculture will host special Friday tours for prospective students and their families! We encourage you to register for these tours to learn more about the opportunities in the College of Agriculture.

“Tiger Fridays on Ag Hill” will begin in August and will conclude in November. Students must register to attend one week prior to the event. A schedule is provided below:

Welcome and College of Agriculture Overview in Comer Hall, Room 109

1:30 pm-2:00 pm
Ag Hill Tour from an Ag Ambassador

2:00 pm-3:00 pm
Meeting with a faculty advisor in major of interest

3:00 pm-5:00 pm
Optional-Personal appointments with Student Services Representatives

Welcome Back Picnic

August 24 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

The College of Agriculture students, faculty, and staff to join them for their annual Welcome Back Picnic on Thursday, August 24 from 5:00 pm -7:00 pm on the front lawn of Comer Hall. Along with the picnic Ag Council will be hosting O-Night (Organization Night) for all students. Student Clubs/Organizations will be on the front lawn advertising their club and how students can get involved. This is fun event and a great way to kick off the fall semester.

Transfer Student Day

October 6 @ 8:30 am - 1:45 pm

At Transfer Student Day, you’ll have the opportunity to go on a campus tour, learn more about scholarships and the transfer process, meet with faculty advisors in each of our majors, enjoy a free lunch with faculty and students, and tour our farms, research labs, or the College of Veterinary Medicine.

Ag Elite

November 8 @ 9:15 am - 12:45 pm

The Ag Elite program is an on-campus program and luncheon reception to celebrate the academic achievements of talented minority high school students with an interest in science, including agricultural and environmental science. We are proud to recognize these outstanding students and showcase the many career opportunities within the food, agricultural and natural resources fields. The program will include a departmental browse, alumni and student speakers, lunch with faculty representatives, scholarship information, and a recipient will be selected for a $1000 scholarship award.
