Kayleen, a native of Lexington, is a pre-professional student within poultry science and is preparing for a career in poultry and human health research.

 Why do you think you future career is secure with a degree in poultry science?
Poultry is one of the most efficient protein sources available. Population growth on a global scale has helped to establish poultry as one of the most prominent meat industries in the world. Furthermore, poultry science grants students with career opportunities containing, but not limited to, business and production, animal agriculture and preparation for numerous pre-professional programs of study.

Goal-oriented, persistent and open-minded  

What is your favorite place to eat in Auburn?
My favorite place to eat in Auburn is Momma Goldberg’s Deli. Though my absolute favorite restaurant in the area is the Irish Bred Pub & Restaurant located in Opelika.

What is your favorite spot on Ag Hill?
My favorite spot on Ag Hill is of course the Poultry Science Building where I spend many hours studying in the poultry library.

Who is your biggest supporter?
My biggest source of support is, most truly, the quality professors I have been fortunate enough to learn from throughout my academic career.
