What Brandy Does Now
I evaluate fresh products for quality attributes and conduct shelf-life studies. Additionally, I keep product and ingredient specifications consistent with customer and legal requirements, conduct food safety and quality training with all plant employees and maintain the Food Safety and HACCP written programs. My job also requires me to respond to consumer complaints and assign corrective action, environmental swabbing for sanitation and allergen cleaning validation.
Auburn Memories
I am having a difficult time deciding on a “favorite” Auburn memory because I enjoyed almost every part of my experience there. I especially enjoyed my classes with Dr. Leonard Bell because everything he taught had relevance to the real world. He always made sure that our lab experiments reinforced the principles learned in class. Our lectures and labs usually took the entire time allotted; however, I don’t think any of the time was wasted because I remember almost every bit of the class material today. Other than academics, I enjoyed attending Auburn football games and working as a supervisor at Lupton Deli and Einstein Brothers on Campus. I enjoyed participating in various activities with the Auburn Wesley Foundation.
