E.T. York Lecture featuring Mr. Vimlendra Sharan

The College of Agriculture E.T. York Distinguished Lecture Series Committee is pleased to present Mr. Vimlendra Sharan as the Fall 2017 E.T. York Distinguished Lecturer. Mr. Sharan is the Director of the North America Liaison Office of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. Previously, he has served in various leadership positions focusing on rural development, agriculture and food security issues and as India’s permanent representative to UN agencies in Rome. He also chaired the International Fund for Agricultural Development’s Evaluation Committee and served as Vice President of the World Food Program Executive Board.
His lecture entitled “The Greatest Opportunity of Your Generation: Ending Hunger” will be presented on Monday, October 2 @ 4 PM in The Hotel at Auburn University & Dixon Conference Center (Ballroom B, Marquee).
All faculty, staff and students are cordially invited. Refreshments will be provided prior to the lecture beginning at 3.30 pm.
