Interdepartmental agreements between AU and China Agricultural University (CAU) are in place (or under development) for Crop, Soil, and Environmental Science, Entomology & Plant Pathology, Horticulture, Agricultural Economics, and Poultry Science.

Broad Agreement

A 3+2 program between Auburn University and China Agricultural University provides for direct admission into an M.S. degree program in the Auburn Department of Crop, Soil and Environmental Sciences. You may pursue the master’s degree with emphases (among others) in crop production, soil science, plant breeding and genetics, weed science, water quality, soil chemistry, turfgrass management, soil microbiology, soil pedology/mineralogy, forage production, biofuel production, and biotechnology and genomics. CAU will award the bachelor’s degree upon completion of your first year at Auburn. Thesis research will be completed at Auburn in the second year. Upon completion of your second year, the M.S. degree will be awarded by Auburn’s Department of Crop, Soil and Environmental Sciences.

CROP GENETICS AND PLANT BREEDING
AGRONOMY

A 3+2 program between Auburn University and China Agricultural University provides for direct admission into an M.S. degree program in the Auburn Department of Entomology and Plant Pathology. Graduate studies are available in both entomology and plant pathology. CAU will award the bachelor’s degree upon completion of your first year at Auburn. Thesis research will be completed at Auburn in the second year. Upon completion of your second year, the M.S. degree will be awarded by Auburn’s Department of Entomology and Plant Pathology.

Interdepartmental specific program agreement:
MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT

Our department offers an accelerated M.S. degree programs through a partnership with China Agricultural University in Beijing. Through this partnership, selected Chinese students may complete three years of coursework at CAU, followed by two years at Auburn. A bachelor’s degree is awarded by the CAU after the first year at Auburn, and then a Master of Science is awarded by Auburn upon completion of the final year. The M.S. may be earned in horticulture with an emphasis in applied fruit or vegetable production, applied nursery or greenhouse production or applied landscape horticulture.
